Date: February 25, 2023 Time: 10am – 4pm
Location: Fibre Arts Studio, 2nd floor of the Richmond Library and Cultural Centre.
For this workshop you will make an original Lorna Moffat design of a Large Butterfly or Tree of Life that can be finished as a pillow cover or wall hanging of approximately 20″x20″. The designs, background fabric of wool melton (grey, cream or black) and WonderUnder are provided as part of the course fee.
You will need to bring:
- a variety of lightweight fabrics that work together to cut up and collage with.
- a 20″x20″ contrasting, neutral, tone-on-tone piece of fabric to use for the ‘framework’ of the butterfly or the tree with matching thread
- sewing machine with free motion (darning) foot
- black sharpie and a pencil
- scissors
